About us
Dario Vivaldi opened Il Falchetto in 1925, on his return from the First World War. He taught at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence and painted: the antique furniture and the collection of paintings still hanging in the rooms were put there by him.
The hotel has stayed in the same family ever since — his grandson runs it today — and has gone on being the address for artists and actors passing through town.
The station and the Piaggio Museum are close by, and the square is the cathedral square: whoever arrives for work or for a single night is already in the middle of Pontedera.
